(Update) Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Video Game

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Live-Action Movie (aka TF2) will also have a video game adaptation. The game propels players straight into an adrenaline-pumping battle for supremacy across the globe where every second and every choice makes the difference between mankind's salvation and annihilation.

The Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen video game lets gamers step into the shoes of the AUTOBOTS or DECEPTICONS, select any available mission and pick from the largest, most diverse range of playable Transformers - each with their own distinct abilities and weaponry.

Set in unique environments across the globe such as Cairo and Shanghai, the game allows players to instantly switch between vehicle and robot modes as they drive, fly, fight, and blast their way through intense, pressure-packed levels.

After engaging in single-player action, players for the first time ever will be able to go online and battle friends in all-new multiplayer modes.

The video game version of Transformers 2 will be available in the following platforms:

  • PC - being developed by Beenox Studios
  •
  • PlayStation 3 - by Luxoflux
  •
  • Xbox 360 - by Luxoflux
  •
  • Nintendo Wii - by award-winning Krome Studios
  •
  • PlayStation 2 3 - by Krome Studios

In addition, two completely different titles are being developed for Nintendo DS by Vicarious Visions, allowing players to take on AUTOBOT or DECEPTICON-specific campaigns.

Then Savage Entertainment is developing a unique, fast-paced action arcade title for the PlayStation Portable.

Transformers Animated The Game - Nintendo DS

Transformers Animated Series has now spun its first (and hopefully not the last) video game. It is the Transformers Animated The Game for the Nintendo DS handheld based on the latest Transformation Animated series.

The only playable character here are Optimus Prime, Bulk Head, Bumble Bee and Prowl. Each has its own distinct abilities which prompts the users to often switch between characters inside the game. These are some of the screenshots I've taken from the first part of the game which will further explains how the game play is like:

bulk head in ds game

This is the switch to Bulk Head in Mission mode. He is able to block enemy attacks and pounce through obstacles (e.g. breakable walls and doors). He can aim through objects and unleash his wrecjking ball for damage and unlocking doors. He can't jump though.

bumblebee in ds transformers animated the game

Bumble Bee's ability in Mission Mode is the stingers which is essential to destroy enemies and open up generators and lifts. Bumble Bee has the ability to jump to walls.

Optimus Prime can use his grappling hook to zip up or down through obstacles and use his giant axe to slash through enemies or throw it at them. He can also block attacks

prowl in ds transformers animated the game

This is Prowl in Race Mode. He can zip left and right to avoid other vehicles in the road and jump up through obstacles. He can also transform and shoot stars at flying or moving enemies. It is said that Optimus Prime and Bumble Bee can be used in Race Mode as well.

Playing Transformers - The Game for a week

written by : http://www.ronaldguanzon.com/

Yes! it's almost a week now, and the heat keeps on rumbling - and it never stops. I always play this game every night. Last Sunday, I made my whole day for this game, hehehe. ^_^ Okay, Transformers: The Game for the PS3 (PlayStation 3) packs lots of action and impact, especially with the metal gearing and clanging sound effects, plus the movie soundtrack which makes its game play awesome. The graphics is so superb and everything its all in 3D. Imagine that. ^_^

Oh, while I'm playing this game, I was amazed on the game programming. Why? because everything on its environment and object reacts inside the game. It has physics... everything that possibly can be moved, it will moved and also reacts... just like the real thing.

This is an action game based on the blockbuster movie, it has destruction, throwing things, smashing, beating up enemy robots, car chasing, shooting, jumping, etc... its all here. I tell you, for me... this is the only game so far I know that total destruction can be made, thanks to the PlayStation 3.

Still, the game its self is the translation of the movie. There are some scene from the game that are inter connected to the story which you can't seen on the actual movie. Overall, this game is very good. ^_^
