Just got a heads up from Seibertron.com. They've got a scoop from a anonymous but reliable source about the much anticipated alternate form of our fav decepticon Soundwave. We know that Soundwave started as a cassette player during the 80's and evolved in to different forms. In the new animated series, soundwave's alternate form is a Toyota Scion xB thus fans anticipated that Soundwave will indeed be a vehicle in the next movie.
Last year a concept artwork spread in the internet revealing a very reliable design for soundwave.
But it turns out that it is just a fanart.
But today it is the day that this rumors are cleared because Soundwave's alternate form in the movie is none other than a space satellite.
Name: Sunstreaker Series: Classics V.2/ Universe Release: July 2008 Manufactured By: Hasbro Variations: none as of now Accessories: laser gun, car accessory(dunno what its called) & Instruction manual Packaging: Carded Size: Deluxe class
Introduction: Sunstreaker was first seen in the Transformers Generation 1 series. He was probably known as 1 of the first Autobots to have crash landed on Earth a million years ago carried by the Ark. He is also a twin brother of Sideswipe
Vehicle Mode:
In vehicle mode he is very astonishing with a Lamborghini like alternate mode. Color is very catchy and well done aside from the chest plate which seem to be having a dirty yellow painting.
Vehicle scale Comparison:
Looks so good with fellow autobots almost all were at the same scale in vehicle mode.
Transformation:
transformation is quite difficult since its car mode is tightly done and well locked. He possesses a simple automorph mechanism which is located in its chest. Rotating the chest in robot mode allows its head to come up.
Robot Mode:
In robot mode………………………..WOW! This is so cool……my HONEST reaction pardon me. Robot mode is really great especially the amount of articulation it was given.
His mufflers turned to be his laser gun and the car accessory(dunno what its called) is attached to its back to give you that nostalgic G1 look.
Thanks to previous other reviews I find a cool toy gimmick which I think will be later on use for his twin brother I guess this proves that they really are twins even though they have different robot mode appearance
Robot scale Comparison:
he outstands when compared to other Classics perhaps a minor miscalculation there. I really do not know how tall he is compared to other autobots. ^_^
Comments:
for my overall reaction I find it VERY good. I’m not a fan of Hasbro but they really out done it this time and I’m giving my applauses for it. Some may have very loose parts on my part it came to be the car’s door they seem to be too loose in robot form but in general joints are tight.
I’ll be giving him 9 robot points, 1 point less for improvement and that’s all.
Sorry for the poor images I have. please bear with me....

More than 300 cosplayers from around the metro flocked to Enchanted Kingdom and came in for free last September 28, 2008 for a pop culture festival of anime, toys, manga, movies and video games dubbed as “OtakonEK 2008”
“Otaku” is the Japanese term for people with obsessive interests, particularly anime and manga.
It was definitely a day of fun and magic for self-confessed “otakus” and teens who are into “otaku-watching” at the country’s first and only world-class theme park as they got to enjoy live band performances, exhibits, collectible retail booths, gaming competitions, trivia and singing contests amid the Park’s thrilling rides and attractions.
Around 3PM, the parade of cosplayers commenced around the Park led by Eldar the Wizard and Princess Victoria followed by the Los BaƱos Drum & Lyre Band. It was a real sight watching the OtakonEK revelers marching around the Park. Guests, especially the children, were delighted to see their favorite characters in the flesh.
Right after the parade, the participants sashayed down the stage at Eldar’s Tent and showed off their costumes. The judges of the Cosplay Contest were Dr. Cynthia R. Mamon, EK’s VP for Sales & Marketing Division, Ms. Dolly Anne Carvajal of Philippine Daily Inquirer and Mr. Ronald Guanzon, Founder of WeAreAnime.
The winners of the Cosplay Contest were: Otaku King – Arjay Navarro (Hyuuga Neji of Naruto); Otaku Queens – Jorgette Aguirre (Catwoman from Batman) and Patricia Matibag (Misa Amane of Death Note); Otaku Princess – Trixie Sameguin (Chun Li of Street Fighter); and Best Craftmanship – Paulo Cordero (Star Saber of Transformers Victory).
April Khristine Lacson won first place in the Tales from the Enchanted Kingdom Drawing Contest. Alvin Balce, dressed as Kamen Rider Black, bagged the prize for the Anime Singing Contest and Jerome Lopez, who brought his Charzard Stuffed Toy (Pokemon), won first place in the Anime Collectible Contest.
The evening was capped with the skies all lit up in a spectacular display of fire and light at the Spaceport Zone with Enchanted Kingdom’s fireworks show.
